- Will the research topic for the third stage be chosen from a predetermined field?
- While the research topic is based on the student's own research interests, please understand that we cannot guarantee that you will be able to conduct your desired research
- Are applications from overseas accepted?
- Applications from overseas are not accepted
- I would like to participate in only the second stage; is that possible?
- Participation in the second stage is contingent on participation in the third stage. Please refrain from applying if your intention is to participate in the second stage only
- Is it possible to apply to other institutions' Global Science Campus (GSC) or Next Generation Science and Technology Challenge Program (STELLA Program) concurrently?
- According to regulations, you cannot enroll in programs offered by multiple institutions simultaneously. You may apply, but if you are accepted into multiple programs, you must choose one institution. Please check the following web pages for the institutions currently accepting applications this year:

- I have previously participated in the Global Science Campus (GSC) and the Next Generation Science and Technology Challenge Program (STELLA Program). Am I eligible to apply for UTokyoGSC-Next?
- Those who have previously taken the University of Tokyo's UTokyoGSC-Next (second stage, high school course) are ineligible to apply for the second stage. Those who have taken GSC or STELLA programs at other institutions are eligible to apply for UTokyoGSC-Next, provided they have completed those programs by the time of application
- How to resolve the "Invalid reCAPTCHA Secret key" error that appears when submitting the application form
- If you take a long time to fill out the application form, you may see the message "Invalid reCAPTCHA Secret key." after clicking the "Submit" button, and your entries may not be submitted.
